The Route to the Thinking Christ of the Dolomites
A three-day walk to access the soul of places and people you will meet during the course
"In your life you can walk for hundreds of thousands of kilometers without learning a thing from what or whom you meet. The truth is that what fosters a traveller’s spirit is his ability to step in the soul of the places and people he meets on his way". Here are Pino Dellasega’s words and this is how you should live this three-day trek.
Departure from the Sanctuary of Pietralba, one of the most famous Marian places of the South Tyrol. Then you’ll get at Passo degli Oclini, walking between Corno Bianco and Corno Nero. You’ll cross the villages of Varena, Stava di Tesero, Panchià and Ziano, until Predazzo, where you’ll walk along Valle del Travignolo and in the Natural Park Paneveggio. There, you’ll walk in Val Venegia to get at Baita Segantini. The conclusion of this incredible experience is the climb to Monte Castellazzo, where the statue of the Thinking Christ of the Dolomites will welcome you. Your tour leaders will be Pino Dellasega, the founder of the Trek to the Thinking Christ of the Dolomites, and Chiara Campostrini, a Nordic Walking Italian instructor.
