Marcialonga Running Coop
Race from the centre of Moena along 26 kilometres to Cavalese, along an itinerary similar to the track of the famous cross-country skiing competition
Born in 2003, Marcialonga Running Coop is a race on a 26 km course which combines the spirit of Marcialonga di Fiemme and Fassa, the great cross-country competition that takes place every year in January, with a nonlinear track on bike routes and forest trails, crossing also several villages.
Athletes chasing the victory, several passionate runners and relay racers run on Saturday 3rd September, on the track of the Marcialonga Running Coop that departs from Moena (Piaz de Sotegrava) and arrives in Cavalese (Val di Fiemme). The teams are made by three runners, either male, female or both. The track is the same for everybody, but for the relay teams it’s divided into three stages: 10 km from Moena to Predazzo, 8 km from Predazzo to Lago di Tesero and 8 km from Lago di Tesero to Cavalese. This year too, the subscription to the relay will be given in favour of one of the no-profit organisations indicated by the organising committee. The associations are mostly from the area, such as "Croce Rossa Italiana - Val di Fassa", which has always been a supporter of Marcialonga. Edition number 20 presents two innovations: a short track (half marathon) of 21 km, from Moena to Masi di Cavalese, and the start at 4.30 p.m.
