The thrill of admiring the sunrise from the slopes of Parco del Monte Baldo
An excursion with skis or snowshoes at dawn to breathe the pungent morning air and let yourself be enchanted by the view of the snow-capped peaks that surround Monte Baldo. At the end, a rich and delicious breakfast surrounded by the whiteness of the snow awaits you.
Start the day at an early hour, wear your snowshoes or cross-country skis and let yourself be guided by the expert ski instructors on the freshly groomed trails of Polsa and San Valentino. Open your heart to the beautiful winter landscape that you will find and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
After satisfying your eyes with the beautiful sight of the dawn, an excellent sweet and savoury breakfast with local products of Trentino awaits you to fill your belly.
- Friday, 2 January – Polsa | New Year Edition
Meeting at 6:45 AM in the parking area next to the Montagnola lift station in Polsa (towards Baita Laghetto).
The chairlift ascent is scheduled for 7:00 AM, reaching the summit at 1,600 metres above sea level just in time for the first true sunrise of the new year, colouring the untouched slopes ready to be skied by participants. Snowshoe lovers can descend along the comfortable and scenic trail towards Malga Vignola (about 1 hour).
To finish, meet at the bar-restaurant of Camping Polsa for a tasty sweet or savoury breakfast!
ATTENTION: the use of snowshoes or mini-crampons depends on snow conditions—if there is no snow, the excursion will take place on foot, provided conditions allow it. Good physical fitness is required, and layered thermal clothing is mandatory, including gloves, hat, backpack, a thermos with a hot drink, and some snacks for the hike.
NOTE: it is possible to rent the necessary equipment directly from the guide on site, provided you inform them at the time of booking.
The mountain guide reserves the right to modify the route based on ground conditions, weather, and the group’s level of preparation.
