D+ Ultracycling Dolomitica
704 km and 20 climbs to be tackled between Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia: the world's toughest bike race starts on 12 July from Vittorio Veneto, also passing through Val di Fassa.
From Duran to Sella, from Fedaia to Campolongo, from San Boldo to Giau. 704 kilometres by bike, through the three regions of North-Eastern Italy. 20 mountain passes to climb on the pedals, non-stop, by day and night. Over 17,000 metres of elevation gap to face, alone or in a team, within a maximum time of 52 hours. That’s the D+ Ultracycling Dolomitica: an epic endeavour, framed by some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Only when you feel it, you’ll be ready to become a legend!
D+ Ultracycling Dolomitica is part of the circuits Ultracycling Italia CUP and Ultracycling WUCA World Cup, in addition to being valid as qualifying race for the RAAM (Race Across America). Since its first edition, in 2014, it’s been dedicated to the memory of Vito Favero, unforgotten champion of Treviso’s cycling.
Alongside the classic D+ Ultracycling Dolomitica, two minor races take place:
- 380. 380 Km and 9.200 m of elevation gap, 10 mountain passes (Muro di Ca' del Poggio, Passo San Boldo, Passo Duran, Forcella Staulanza, Passo Fedaia, Passo Sella, Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Giau, Passo La Crosetta), maximum time of 38 hours
- 180. Individual time trial of 180 km, maximum 100 athletes, 3 mountain passes (Passo San Boldo, Forcella Franche, Passo Duran, Passo La Crosetta), maximum time of 15 hours
