Nordic Combined World Cup
Good at ski jumping and cross-country skiing, these are the main characteristics of Nordic Combined athletes…and this time you will be there to watch them at the stadium
Even though we are still going through a tough period, Val di Fiemme is about to host a week rich in sport events. First, a stage of the Tour de Ski from January 2nd to January 4th, then is the turn of the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup long weekend, January 6-9, this year with some great news: women and mixed team competitions!
After an edition held behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemics, the OC is glad to announce that all World Cup events scheduled in Val di Fiemme will be open to spectators again! Admission to the stadiums is allowed only with “super green passes”, and we are sure that with some common sense by all of us, we will soon be back to normality, enjoying these big sport events like we used to.
The races start on Friday 7th, with a new format taking place for the very first time right here in Val di Fiemme: a mixed team competition, with 2 male and 2 female athletes representing their country. On Saturday 8th, women will be competing for the first time in Italy during the 5 km Mass Start, followed by ski jumping. Men will fight for the victory during two individual Gundersen 10 km races, held on Saturday and Sunday.
Once again, the best athletes of the Nordic Combined World Cup will compete at the Ski Jumping Stadium in Predazzo, which will soon be renovated for the Big Event: the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics!
