Snowboard FIS World Cup
The winter season opens on the Passo Carezza with two competitions valid for the Snowboarding World Cup
The winter season 2017-2018 in Val di Fassa opens with the Snowboarding World Cup which takes place on 14th December and is disputed on the sunny slope Pra dei Tori at the Carezza Pass. The place, far only 9 km from Vigo di Fassa, is in the list of the Italian locations chosen by the international Ski Federation to host the competitions of the Snowboarding World Cup. On thursday 14th December the best professional snowboarders defy one another in two competitions: women’s and men’s giant parallel slalom.
This is another important success for the Val di Fassa-Carezza ski area which has been chosen as FIS ski training centre for the national male and female teams since 2006. On Thursday 14st December, the valley is once again under the spotlight on occasion of the night slalom race (valid for the Alpine Skiing Europe Cup) which takes place on the dreaded Alloch piste in Pozza di Fassa.
