The restaurant ...
The "Foresta" is a traditional Val di Fassa restaurant located at the foot of a thick fir forest and has become part of the history of Moena. The original building dates back to the 19th century. It was the only inn in the area as well as the only meeting point for the town's inhabitants as well as those from the nearby farmhouses. Later on, the inn was transformed into a lodging-house, where travellers could stay for the night with their carriages. Improvements were made to the building year after year, in order to create a fully renovated environment furnished in the traditional Tyrolese style.

Ms. Teresa Piazzi - its current owner - and her husband Ugo Schacher have brought Hotel Foresta back to life together. They purchased the old inn in 1963 and turned it into a fully-functioning hotel. Today, the Schacher family, their children Walter and Riccardo, and their respective wives, are delighted to host all their guests as if they were friends and pamper them with their attentions. Private rooms for small and large groups.
