San Nicolò arrives in Soraga
At nightfall, St. Nicholas appears, accompanied by angels and "krampus", to distribute gifts and sweets to the children
According to tradition, on the evening of Monday 5th December (from 5.00 p.m.) arrives St. Nicholas, on a horse-drawn sleigh. Dressed as a bishop, he's accompanied by two angels, who help him carry the pack basket full of gifts for the good children, and by the "krampus", feared by young and old. During the visit to the houses, the devils wait outside the door, unless there are particularly naughty children. If you're lucky enough, you'll be able to see him wandering through the streets of the village!
