Immersed in the beauty of the Lagorai
Refurbished in 2000, Malga Casarina has maintained the aesthetics that characterise buildings in the valley, with outer walls in stone and the roof in larch wood shingles. In the surrounding meadows, in the warmer months, you will see cows, pigs and goats grazing freely.
The milk, produced by the cows, is processed on site to make 0 Km cheese, butter and ricotta, which you can taste at the dairy or purchase, so you can take a tasty souvenir of Trentino home with you. During the winter months, in addition to the cheeses, the mountain dairy also offers excellent cured meats.
The dishes at Malga Casarina are typical traditional Trentino dishes, served in a warm and cosy environment, when it’s cold outside. In the warmer months, on the other hand, you can eat outside on the veranda.
How to get there: from Spera, in Valsugana, you follow the directions for Val Campelle. From Rifugio Carlettini, after about three kilometres, near Ponte di Conseria, you reach the mountain dairy.
