A cosy farmhouse inn, a starting point for many interesting excursions
For ten years now, Malga Bordolona, at 1830 metres above sea level in Val di Non, has been managed passionately by Katia, a teacher, and Luca, a philosophy graduate. In this wonderful country atmosphere, their son, Tommaso, was born.
Katia mainly works with the farmhouse inn, which offers an excellent restaurant service with traditional dishes prepared with healthy food and the dairy’s own produce. Luca, on the other hand, is a cattle farmer and dairyman. From the milk he gets from the cows that graze here freely, various types of cheese are made, both fresh and seasoned, like ricotta, Casolet, and Nostrano.
The mountain dairy is a starting point for interesting excursions, such as: the trail to Lake Trenta, the trail to Lake Corvo and its mountain hut, trail 133 through Passo di Palù (2,412 m) which leads to Val di Rabbi, and in the opposite direction trail 136 which leads to Val d’Ultimo.
How to get there: once you arrive at Mostizzolo, between Val di Non and Val di Sole, you turn in the direction of Preghena-Rumo. In Bresimo, there is a long (12 Km) but comfortable paved road that leads all the way to the mountain dairy.
