Route of the Hospital of the Knights of Malta

During the Great War (1914-1918) several military hospitals were active on the Alpe Cimbra, some managed by the medical and nursing staff of the Sovereign Military Order of the Knights of Malta, the knights of the 'eight-pointed star'. The most imposing and structured was the Malga Belem Hospital, located in Slaghenaufi, on the Lavarone plateau.

The route is short and is a beautiful walk, also suitable for families with children +6 years old. The most interesting aspects are the beauty of the place, the coolness of the woodland surrounding the path and the historical and cultural aspect, highlighted by a series of photographic panels arranged along the itinerary and a wooden structure displaying a series of illustrative panels recounting the hospital's history.
