A lake surrounded by greenery where you can find peace and relaxation.
Walks, beaches and spas: at Lake Levico and Levico Terme, quiet and relaxation are the absolute protagonists for those looking for a wellness holiday.
Lake Levico, in the province of Trento, is the second largest lake in Valsugana and among the warmest lakes in Southern Europe. It is located a few minutes from Levico Terme, a renowned spa destination, and 8 km from Lake Caldonazzo, from which it is separated by the Colle di Tenna hill (recommended for those who want to enjoy an excellent view of both lakes). The lake has a narrow and elongated shape and is surrounded by small beaches, shaded lawns and reeds; since 2013, its waters, beach and eco-sustainable management by the Municipality of Levico Terme have been awarded the Blue Flag. Those who come here seek (and find) a true oasis of peace with two bathing establishments and a large free and equipped beach.
What to do
Those who choose to spend a weekend or holiday at Lake Levico have a range of possibilities in every season. In winter, it is a must to visit the wonderful Christmas markets set up in the Habsburg Park of Levico Terme, as well as to practice many snow sports.
In summer, activities are multiplied: those who practice sports can choose from canoeing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking on the lake’s clear waters. The lake can also be discovered by electric boat,s that can be rented at Hotel Du Lac. Those who prefer to admire the glistening of the sun on the water from the mainland can devote themselves to fishing (there are many species of fish that live in the lake), or take many walks on the lake shores. We recommend the Strada dei Pescatori (Fishermen's Road): on it, you can go around the lake (8.5 km), on a naturalistic trail under the Colle di Tenna hill. And the two-wheel lovers will be able to ride their bicycle on the Valsugana bike trail.
Among other activities, do not miss a visit to the Canneto di Levico biotope, a protected bend rich in vegetation along the south bank of the lake. For those looking for animation and events, Levico Terme offers interesting opportunities all year round, from the Ortinparco vegetable garden festival, to the Milk and Wool Festival, and the Pumpkin Festival in autumn.
