Monte Baldo Bike
A new race to discover Baldo, the "Botanical Garden of Europe"
The new edition of the mtb race has arrived, organised to get to know and appreciate one of the most interesting environments from a naturalistic point of view in Trentino.
With its 36 km and 1400 m of altitude difference, the Monte Baldo Bike has been included in the Trentino MTB Circuit and will be the third stage in this 2022 edition.
Two days of celebrations with entertainment, games for children, magic shows, snacks with typical local products at the educational farms, guided visits to the malga and themed dinners.
The invitation is therefore open to all and it is to visit and to get to know the “Botanical Garden of Europe“: so is Monte Baldo, the mountain that dominates Lake Garda, famous and appreciated for its dense and composite flora, also called.
An extraordinary territory from a naturalistic as well as climatic point of view, which offers an endless series of outdoor activities, from trekking to horse riding, from Nordic Walking to hang-gliding or paragliding.
Mountain biking is just one of the ways to experience this unspoilt paradise, but the idea behind this new adventure is to bring bikers to discover and interpret the most unspoilt paths and places on Monte Baldo and to involve families in a celebration that pays homage to the area.
A two-day event:
- Saturday, 2 July: An e-bike excursion that largely follows the route of the race will be organised. Departure and arrival in loc. Dossioli, with two tasting stops of local products. Throughout the day, a play area dedicated to children will be set up with inflatables and an educational farm. There will also be the possibility to take part in guided tours to Malga Artilone and Malga Schelfi. In the afternoon, the focus will be on the protagonists of the “Mini Monte Baldo Bike”, the FCI race dedicated to the Giovanissimi (G1 – G6) categories. The day will end with a themed dinner at all participating restaurants.
- Sunday, 3 July: start of the “Monte Baldo Bike” at 9.30 a.m. An area dedicated to families with music, games and magic shows will be active from the morning and throughout the day. Continuous catering service with typical local products.
The event is organised by S.C. Avio in collaboration with the Azienda per il Turismo Rovereto Vallagarina e Monte Baldo.
