All the flavour of the slopes

The finest dining for ski gourmets

Bet you can’t wait to get your skis on and spend a whole day on the snow! But what if you could sate your appetite with some traditional gourmet dishes too, right there on the slopes?

Well, especially for mountain lovers like you, we’ve picked some high-altitude eateries where you can savour genuine Trentino flavours in the places that created them. Snugly seated by a roaring fire on a winter evening while the snowscape glints white in the sun outside, you can enjoy an excellent meal with a view so pristine and exquisite that even your breathing seems to quieten in an awed hush. Then, deliciously refreshed, you can return to the pleasures of the slopes, rapt with childlike enthusiasm – down the mountain then up then down again until finally it’s time to call it a day.

Alpine Lounge Meriz – Paganella

Right at the arrival station of the chairlift which, in the Paganella Ski area, connects Santel to La Rocca, you find a sustainable hut where pasta is prepared fresh every day, where even sandwiches are gourmet and where every stop can only end with Nuvola del Meriz, a yogurt with almonds and berry sauce.

Doss del Sabion – Campiglio

Large windows that allow you to enjoy a view stretching from the Brenta Dolomites to the Adamello and Presanella ranges. This is the Attic Restaurant, the gourmet restaurant at the Doss del Sabion Alpine Style Mountain Hut. Completely renovated, as well as the restaurant it also houses the Panoramic Café & Bar, the ideal place for a break with a view between one ski session and another.

Malga Ces - San Martino di Castrozza

In the heart of the Trentino Dolomites, right by the slopes at the Ces ski area in San Martino di Castrozza, this farmstead is the ideal start point for a good hike. And when you’re done, you can relish some excellent gourmet cuisine inspired by Trentino tradition!

Lo Scoiattolo – Pejo

Close by the Pejo ski slopes 2,000 metres up among the peaks in Stelvio National Park, “Lo Scoiattolo” refuge is an idyllic retreat for those who love skiing – and fine food! Its restaurant serves traditional dishes from Trentino and throughout Italy.

Chalet 44 Alpine Lounge – Alpe Lusia

The terrace offers glittering views of the Lagorai mountains and the Pale di San Martino, while the interior is exquisitely fashioned from Val di Fiemme wood. Arrive at night by snowmobile under the stars and savour a meal that’ll seduce the eyes and delight the palate with flavours that linger long in the memory.

Rifugio InAlto – Passo San Pellegrino

At 2,500 metres, right at the top of the Col Margherita cable car, lies InAlto — a mountain refuge where Alfio Ghezzi’s Michelin-starred cuisine meets the pure essence of the highlands. A place suspended between sky and Dolomites, with glass walls that open up breathtaking views of the Marmolada, Pelmo, Civetta, and Pale di San Martino.
