Trail to peat bog of the lake Lago Nero

Hike on the mountain Corno in Capriana, among magnificent woods and ancient lakes.

This itinerary goes up from Prà del Manz, one of the most beautiful larch grazing land of Trentino, to the lake Lago Nero, a precious peat bog and protected area of the Rete di Riserve Alta Val di Cembra-Avisio (Reserves Network Alta Val di Cembra – Avisio). The lake Lago Nero is an ancient glacier lake where, due to a natural process, thick peat layers produced by the water plants over the millennia gathered together. Part of the land you cross is owned by the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, the millennial managing Body of the forests (the first official recognition of this Body is dated 1111 AD)
