As guests of this beautiful farmhouse, you will enjoy spacious, nature-inspired rooms within a peaceful atmosphere, as well as a sophisticated cuisine and a curious workshop to learn how to make pure chestnut flour, perfect to bake biscuits and cakes. Friday 8th November
Arrival at the farmhouse from 14:00: Welcome to our Maso! Paola and Giorgia will show you around your room, which will be a small world to discover!
00 Visit to the chestnut forest and fruit picking. We will learn all about this fruit and the secrets of growing chestnut trees. There will be also time for a tasty afternoon break.
First part of the workshop: making chestnut flour is very rewarding, but it can be quite a long process, we will take you through each step.
Later in the afternoon, there will be some free time to explore the surroundings and to join us in an autumn-inspired aperitif before dinner to taste some of the local wines along with some appetizers. This activity is not included in either of the packages, but you can take part at a small extra cost.
For dinner, if you have opted for the half-board package, you can take a seat in the dining room and enjoy some of our traditional dishes. Alternatively, ask your hosts for a recommendation for a local restaurant.
Saturday 9th November
Enjoy the Berry House’s signature breakfast! Homemade cakes, fragrant waffles, jams, pancakes, farm bread, fresh fruit, and an excellent cup of coffee to start the day in a very pleasant way!
In the morning, you are free to explore the Vigolana area or visit the city of Trento and enjoy a meal at one of the many local restaurants.
14: Start of the second part of the workshop: we will dry the chestnuts and grind them to make a fine flour that can be used in many recipes.
From 18:00 surprise activity: “sfoiò, falò e filò”, is the traditional farmers’ practice of shucking corn while conversing around the fire. An interesting and evocative storytelling moment to learn about Trentino’s old traditions.
At dinner time, we will gather again in the dining area to taste a different, yet equally exquisite, menu.
Sunday 10th November
Wake up to another scrumptious breakfast and enjoy, one more time, our farm flavours.
It’s time to say goodbye. Check-out is conveniently at 12:00. You have the rest of the day to explore the local area. Take a look at the activities in the area section and choose what inspires you the most!
