<p>An extraordinary work of military engineering</p>
<p>The hike leads from Bocchetta Campiglia to the 'Gates of Pasubio' through the Road of the 52 Tunnels or Road of the First Army. The tunnels, built during the First World War, allowed the supply of Italian troops stationed on Pasubio, via a daring route sheltered from enemy actions. Upon reaching the Generale Achille Papa refuge at the Gates of Pasubio (1935 m), you can climb to Cima Palon via the historic tricolor trail and return to Bocchetta Campiglia or Passo Xomo via the Strada degli Scarubbi.</p>
