Madonna di Campiglio - Dolomiti Natural Wellness

Heading to Madonna di Campiglio? You must experience the Dolomiti Natural Wellness Winter program. It's a super cool way to experience mountain well-being with guided excursions led by a wellness trainer. Twice a week, these short walks let you soak in the peaceful winter silence, marvel at nature's art, feel that crisp cold air, and even spot some hidden life in the trees. Being at one with nature, you'll get to try new activities and really connect with all of winter's natural elements in the open sky above you.

Excursions, interspersed with long breaks, suitable for everyone, where you can explore four possible ‘stations’:

●      ‘Life under the snow’ to observe the traces of forest inhabitants and perceive nature’s rhythm.

●      ‘Friendly cold’ to learn relaxation techniques and develop inner warmth by turning cold into a precious ally.

●      ‘The silence of snow’ to listen to the environment and stimulate reflection.

●      ‘Land Art’ leaves light and harmonious traces of our passage using what nature offers.

Each walk ends with a hot herbal tea with Alpine aromas.

Tree-mendous forest healing

Forest Bathing is a total immersion in the forest, lived through walks along the trails and tree hugging. To try this experience, you can visit the Parco del Respiro in Fai della Paganella, a unique therapeutic park in Europe which, thanks to the presence of beech trees and the monoterpenes they release, helps reduce stress, normalise blood pressure and strengthen the immune system. The Parco del Respiro can also be enjoyed in winter through guided experiences organised on site, with individual or group awareness and personal growth paths.

Aufguss’ – infusing well-being

Aufguss literally means ‘infusion’, but in the context of the sauna, it takes on the meaning of a true ritual. Made of harmonious and precise gestures, the sauna master (the Aufgussmeister) is almost dancing, waving a towel to direct hot air and steam onto the body. To increase humidity, snow (or ice) infused with natural scents is melted onto hot stones. This is the first gesture of the beneficial ritual that preserves the original meaning of the word ‘infusion’.

End your day of skiing or snow activities by treating yourself to a special moment of self-care. It's the perfect way to pamper your body, mind and soul.

Sweat it out with a Dolomite sunset sauna

Imagine this: soaking in a warm whirlpool, surrounded by majestic mountains, as the last rays of sun kiss the peaks. Pure relaxation.

At 2,225 meters above sea level, on the route of the famous Sellaronda in the Col Rodella ski area in Val di Fassa, Rifugio Salei offers a large wellness area overlooking the slopes and the Trentino Dolomites. A little piece of heaven on earth exists with saunas, heated pools, and a relaxation area on a spacious private terrace. Inside, rooms and suites are made even cosier with clever use of wood and several indoor and outdoor lounge corners. Accessible on skis or from Passo Sella with the refuge’s snowcat.

‘Enrosadira time’ in San Martino di Castrozza

Every visitor to the region has to experience ‘enrosadira’. This natural phenomenon where the mountains glow in the pink, red and orange hues of sunrise and sunset. From January to March, San Martino di Castrozza and Primiero provide a weekly schedule of activities and experiences for those looking for an alternative or sidestep to a skiing holiday. Enjoy guided walks, snowshoe hikes, local product tastings, historical-artistic tours and captivating outdoor adventures - you’ll soon be feeling in the pink!

The ‘Cold Effect’ at Vitanova Hotels

The Vitanova hotels in Val di Fassa offer a variety of winter activities designed to invigorate body and mind. Their wellness programs include Kneipp paths, cold baths, and snowshoe walks through the forest, allowing guests to experience the refreshing power of cold in the heart of the Dolomites.

These activities are part of the hotel’s holistic approach to well-being, combining nature, movement, and the healing properties of cold therapy. Whether you’re walking barefoot in icy streams, trekking through snow-covered forests or immersing yourself in cold baths, these experiences are designed to rejuvenate and energize.
