Sensory therapies and new experiences
Traditional Kneipp experiences harness the health-giving principles of hydrotherapy with both hot and cold water to improve blood circulation
At San Bernardo in Val di Rabbi, guests can experience the first outdoor Kneipp course in Trentino, dipping their feet in the pure waters of the Rio Valorz
There is also a Kneipp course in Villa Welsperg, home to the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Natural Park, at the end of the ‘Muse Fedaie’ itinerary dedicated to biodiversity
At Soraga in Val di Fassa, the ‘Sora l'Aga’ route offers the unusual experience of walking barefoot. With damp grass, leaves, moss, stones, bark and water underfoot, visitors learn to enjoy and appreciate the sensations transmitted through the soles of their feet, helping them rediscover the mechanics of the human foot and walking as nature intended
Barefoot walks can be also practised in Val di Fassa, in Moena from Malga Roncac to the resort of Ischiez, in Val San Nicolò and in Val di Fiemme in the Bellamonte wood
In the summer of 2018 in Fai della Paganella, in a vast beech forest, the first route in Trentino dedicated to Forest Bathing was inaugurated. This practice originated in Japan and consists of a mindful walk in the woods, breathing in the essences of trees and plants, which can be either invigorating or relaxing. Immersion in the woods can strengthen the most active cells of our immune system, improve blood pressure, and relieve depressive moods.
