This extraordinary musician’s most striking gift is the incredible expressive power she brings to every performance, while never sacrificing the relevance and precision of her playing.

Antje Weithaas is considered one of the most talented violinists of our time. As a soloist, she can boast of significant collaborations with the world’s most important orchestras, from Germany to Asia; and has also produced a rich body of work with the Arcanto Quartett. Her exceptional talent, which allows her to lend her irresistible musical intelligence to a vast repertoire that stretches from the 1600s all the way up to contemporary work, is underpinned by a natural authenticity.

As she herself makes clear, this trait is an essential one for musicians, allowing them to act as the mediator between the music itself and the audience, a conduit for dedication and pure emotion. During this high-altitude concert, the strings of the same violin will take the listener on a musical journey from Johann Sebastian Bach to Eugène Ysaÿe.
