Alan Farrington is an English singer, bassist and guitarist, born in a village near Liverpool. He began his career as a musician at a very young age and in 1974 was called with his band to play in the United States. This marked the beginning of his professional career and his encounter with the general public. In Maryland, he attended an influential singing school to perfect his vocal intensity and extension even more. After the US period, he moved to Italy, first to Rome and then to Milan, where he recorded two records for Polygram: "Shout on" and "No news, bad news". Later Farrington founded several other formations, the "Alan Farrington band", with the help of fine musicians of the calibre of Ellade Bandini, Ares Tavolazzi, and Sandro Gibellini; the "No smoking" and "Maxi taxi", with Gogo Ghidelli and Cesare Valbusa, with whom he plays all-round rock. In 1993 he recorded "Frank my dear", a tribute to Frank Sinatra, a magical album recorded on air. Also that year, he recorded two CDs on the history of the blues. In 2002, as bass player and singer, he entered the studio again to record the album "lounge out" with his Hammond trio. In the same year, he sang on the CD "The illusion" featuring Winnie Colaiuta, Antonello Bruzzese and Pino Palladino. In 2003 he made the dvd "No smoking live tv show" and in 2005 he recorded the new album: "Easy way out". Since then, he has continued his career with countless concerts, productions and TV appearances. He is the founder of the Brescian band "Charlie and the Cats" with Charlie Cinelli and Cesare Valbusa.
