Shepherd's songs
Christmas and folk music performed with bagpipe and shawm by Mario Spolidoro and Giovanni Borraro
The "zampognari" - traditional bagpipers with ancient pastoral origins - arrive in Campitello to bring the festive season to life. At 5 p.m., Salento musicians Giovanni Borraro (playing the "ciaramella" or shawm) and Mario Spolidoro (playing the "zampogna" or bagpipe), dressed in traditional costumes, will perform in the square, among the little market huts, in an evocative concert of Christmas melodies and Neapolitan folk songs. There is music, there is atmosphere, and there is the sunset glowing over the soaring peaks of the Sassolungo. There are festive decorations, the carousel, the lights, the tree, the ice fountain - and to warm you up, a fragrant cup of hot mulled wine. We look forward to welcoming you!
