The Casóm of Mezzomonte, the historic “saltari’s hut”, reopens its doors!
Program:
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Opening of the Casóm
Free visit to the small building that once housed the saltaro, the guardian of the vineyards. Recently restored, it is now returned to the community.
5:00 PM | Pro Loco Mezzomonte headquarters
- Talk by Slow Food Trentino, with reflections on the relationship between community, landscape, and local production.
- Presentation by CIVIT – Trentino Vine Innovation Consortium, with an overview of new experimental grape varieties and ongoing research projects, accompanied by a tasting table. Led by Vincenzo Betalli.
- Tasting of Saltér 2024, the latest vintage of Mezzomonte wine, to be enjoyed among the watercolors of the exhibition “Of Grapes, Vineyards, and Wine” by Fiorella.
- The evening continues with live music and a communal dinner curated by the Confraternita dei Bolliti, guardians of a culinary tradition that celebrates lesser-known cuts of meat and the art of slow boiling. (Limited seats – reservation required.)
This initiative is organized in collaboration with the Pro Loco Mezzomonte, the Municipality of Folgaria, and the Alpe Cimbra Tourism Board.
