Founded in 2020 at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, the quartet stands out for its innovative approach to chamber music, blending original arrangements, transcriptions, and collaborations with contemporary composers. The name “Nemesis” comes from a piece composed by member Chałupka, which united the group under the mission of expanding saxophone quartet expression.
The ensemble has earned accolades at international competitions, including 1st prize at the Bydgoszcz International Chamber Music Competition and 3rd at the August Everding Competition in Munich.
In 2025, they released their debut album Echoes of Folklore, featuring arrangements of works inspired by Polish folk music, including pieces by Lutosławski, Szymanowski, and Chopin.
