Turn-by-turn directions
The itinerary starts from the junction at the end of the tunnel in Mezzolombardo. The first kilometres are in the shade of the woods. Then the glade opens, with the road climbing up along the mountain side. The last kilometres are almost straight, and here the cyclist feels alone with himself, with the finish line that seems a distant mirage. After the last stretch, with the foot on the ground, you finally realise the beauty of this place. Fai sits on a natural terrace with an incredible scenery, flanked by Monte Fausior and the Paganella. A door to the Brenta Dolomites, the only Dolomite island located west of the river Adige.
The ski lifts take off from the village centre, because in winter Fai becomes a popular ski resort.
The plateau of Paganella is also the starting point of the Giro del Brenta, one of the most famous racing bike routes of all Trentino. It measures approximately 150 km and boasts more than 2 thousand metres of difference in height.
