763. Monte Corno (All Mountain/Enduro)
A tour which can be done over most of the year, not very long, but challenging from a physical and technical point of view. You need to have good steering technique and experience on steep runs.
An elevation gain of just under 1000 m and a total distance of about 20 km for a tour which present a number of diffiuclties on both uphill and downhill runs. The average gradient on the uphill stretch which takes you from Bolognano to Malga Fiavei is 12-13% without a moment’s respite. After the pasture the gradient doesn’t change but the going is much rougher, at times loose.
Once you get to Maso Naranch, what we propose here is the lower section of the Naranch Trail, well known to gravity enthusiasts in this area. Since it was reopened, there have been a number of severe weather events which have made considerable modifications to the initial conditions of the trail. Apart from being very steep, roots and rocks have recently been exposed. At some of the intersections along the trail the signposts have already gone missing on a number of occasions, so, just in case, a gps device would come in handy.
