28 - Mulpoch tour

The Alpe Cimbra holds many German-Cimbrian place names and Mülpoch is one of them. It means 'mill stream' and indicates the beautiful torrent that flows north-east of the village of San Sebastiano, on the middle lower eastern slope of Monte Cornetto. The area over which it flows is covered by a thick blanket of spruce trees.

The slope upstream of San Sebastiano is rather steep, but the ancient path that runs along it gradually ascends, offering continuous panoramic views. It is a typical alpine environment, made up of woods and clearings, in which, at certain times of the day, early in the morning or in the evening after sunset, it is not uncommon to see roe deer and chamois.
