A collection of wartime relics in excellent conditions, coming from Marmolada’s glacier.

With Italy’s entry into war, in 1915, Marmolada became the highest battlefield in the whole Dolomites front and one of the highest of the entire White War. In the last decades, the glacier covering it has started to melt down, giving back several testimonies that were entrapped for over a century.

The wartime relics, in perfect state of conservation, are displayed in the building beside "Alla seggiovia" hut, by Fedaia artificial lake, on the pass of the same name. The museum, with its two rooms, set up in 1997, is the result of the passion of its owners, the De Bernardin family from Rocca Pietore, who over the years have recovered about 700 relics of various kinds, including a hole-puncher used to dig tunnels, caves and shelters in the legendary "City of Ice". Some vintage films and a stocked bookshop make the exhibition complete.

The owner Andrea is always there for supplementary information.
