Quintetto di fiati dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia and Royal Concertgebow Orkest

ATTENTION: The opening of cultural and tourist sites, access to them, to public transport and to the services described in these pages is governed by the containment measures put in place by the government authorities and the Autonomous Province of Trento to deal with the COVID-19 health emergency. The rules may vary over time and provide for the application of different security measures — from closure, to social distancing, to the mandatory use of personal protective equipment such as gloves and masks. We therefore ask you to consult the section Travelling safely on this website and to contact the managers directly for updated information on how to gain access.

QUINTETTO DI FIATI DELL'ACCADEMIA DI SANTA CECILIA AND ROYAL CONCERTGEBOW ORKEST
Polyphony of sounds for alpine pastures

Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn. The wind quintet is equal in status to the string quartet and its sound and repertoire it represents the most complete formation of wind instruments. This is borne out by the Italian musicians who make up this quintet and who are currently members these two eminent orchestras. They have performed with other highly prestigious orchestras, including the Teatro della Scala Orchestra of Milan, The Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The idea behind this venture that brings together Andrea Oliva, Francesco di Rosa, Calogero Palermo, Andrea Zucco and Guglielmo Pellarin is to recreate the full richness of orchestral timbres while leaving room for strong individual personalities. These exceptional musicians have won awards in various competitions, including ARD, Kobe, the Judenmusik Wettbewert in Zurich and the Jeunesse Musicales in Bucharest.
