Luca Boscagin Guitar Solo & As Madalenas e Los Ernestos
Jazz concert by Luca Boscagin Guitar Solo (Italy) Luca Boscagin - guitar
Performing an acoustic guitar solo is quite unusual for me. This idea came recently, following a period of musical research, but also thanks to my readings and journeys.
My repertoire goes from original pieces with open tuning to rhythms played by knocking on the of body of my guitar and improvisation, which will be present during the entire concert. Some pieces are created at the moment. The authors I like revisiting most are Paul Simon, Milton Nascimento and some of the greatest artists of rock music from the ‘70s, like Jethro Tull or Led Zeppelin. I have been really excited about this very personal project of mine and I am glad to be sharing it.
"As Madalenas e Los Ernestos" (Italy-Brazil)
Cristina Renzetti - voice, guitar, percussion
Tati Valle - voice, guitar, percussion
Valentino Corvino - violin, effects
Massimo Valentini - soprano and baritone saxophone
Cristina Renzetti and Tati Valle, known an As Madalenas, are among the most active interpreters of Brazilian music in Italy. They met in 2014 and unified their voices, guitars and drums to create a unique, fresh and intense project.
After their first album “Madeleine” which achieved an outstanding success by the audience and critics (“One of the best Brazilian record of the year” by Il Venerdì di Repubblica, “pure harmony” by O Globo Brasil), the Madalenas are presenting their second album “Vai, menina”, (Brutture Moderne 2018).
With this record, which saw the participation of the great carioca composer Guinga among others, the two musicians carry on looking for a dynamic but dreamy sound at the same time. For this upcoming live performance, the well-experienced duo decided to open up their arrangements involving two great Italian musicians: Valentino Corvino, violinist and arranger who ranges from classical music to improvisation, and the multifaceted sax player Massimo Valentini.
