Dolomiti Ski Jazz - Jeanruaz Group
The 25th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz, from the huts on the slopes, descends to the village at the Ladin Museum for a concert by the band "Jeanruaz Group"
From 4th to 12th March, the "jazz track" crosses the valleys of Fassa and Fiemme with concerts on the terraces of the refuges, in clubs, theatres and squares.
From Canazei to Cavalese, all the way to Cembra: the Dolomiti Ski Jazz, scheduled from 4th to 12th March, expands again this year offering as many as 25 concerts. Warm rhythms such as jazz, but also blues, funk and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered scenery of the Dolomites. Artists from the international scene will perform in the evenings in the clubs and theatres of the villages, while during the day they will take to the mountains, on the terraces of the mountain huts, some of which can also be reached by non-skiers. The festival will move day after day from one slope to another, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to the Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Jeanruaz Group - Ladin Museum of Fassa - Pozza di Fassa, Sunday 5 March at 9.00 p.m.
Programme: Ladin singer-songwriter Jean-Daniel Granruaz, aka Jeanruaz, started his musical career as a singer, approaching the guitar relatively late, at the age of 17. After attending the Taller de Músics in Barcelona, he left Europe in 2002 to study jazz in Argentina, where he was able to deepen his study of Latin American music, developing an original combination of pop and ethnic sounds. Jean writes songs in Ladino, English, Italian and sometimes plays using several languages within the same song. His musical style ranges from pop-jazz to rock sounds and lounge and funk melodies. Ladino, at times similar to Portuguese, is used to create atmospheres that smell of samba and bossanova. The current line-up, consisting of Jean-Daniel Granruaz on guitar and vocals, Francesco Dallago on bass and Loris Dallago on drums, interprets the Val Badia singer-songwriter's compositions to the full.
The concert is free of charge. The museum can be reached by car.
