Bill Frisell Harmony
In a career spanning over 40 years, 68-year-old Bill Frisell has established himself as the absolute protagonist of the U.S. music scene. He won the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album for his album Unspeakable.
Composer and arranger, but above all excellent guitarist, after emerging from the off circuit of New York jazz, he joined the ranks of the famous Bavarian record label Ecm. Over time he expanded his creative action, and embraced the tradition of American folklore of the twentieth century. The project Harmony draws inspiration from it, in which he plays accompanied by Petra Haden (daughter of Charlie, legendary jazz double bassist, in voice), Hank Roberts (cello) and Luke Bergman (baritone guitar).
