Greeting the Dawn
Exciting dawn concert in the locality "Pra Martin", reachable on foot from Ciampedie, followed by Holy Mass
A start to a day to remember on 22 August at Ciampedie with a "Greeting the Dawn": at 6 a.m. there will be an exciting concert, as the sun, rising high in the sky, dyes the Dolomite rocks pink, raccording to that phenomenon that is called "Enrosadira" by the Ladins.
Waiting for dawn, the duo composed of the talented Japanese organist Ai Yoshida and the virtuoso Fassa trumpeter Paolo Trettel will perform on the meadows in front of the Baita Pra Martin, a 15-minute walk from the arrival of the Catinaccio cable car in Vigo, which opens at 4.30 a.m. for the occasion. Their performance is inspired by baroque sounds, made even more fascinating by the extraordinary backdrop of the Dolomites, with a repertoire ranging from the 17th century music of Johann Sebastian Bach to the compositions of Georg Friedrich Händel and Antonio Vivaldi, to contemporary composers such as Arutiunian, Piazzolla and Morricone. Each piece is carefully chosen to provide an unforgettable musical dawn. Recently, the duo has enchanted audiences in several cities in Japan, achieving great success and receiving critical praise.
After the sunrise, the Holy Mass will also take place.
Ticket: return ticket adults 18 €. Panorama Pass and Dolomiti Supersummer are NOT valid.
In case of bad weather, the event is cancelled.
