As far as ski areas go this is probably the best choice if you’re visiting Trento and want to try out some skiing, as it’s easily reached from the city. Indeed, Monte Bondone is just 15km from the city centre and is perfect if you want to spend the morning on the slopes and the afternoon between visiting museums and shopping at the local markets.
This ski area, between Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme, is considered one of the best places for families and beginners. We suggest you take the ski-lifts from Bellamonte. Here you’ll find wide, sunny, gentle slopes that offer fantastic views across the Pale di San Martino Dolomites.
Just 20 km from Trento, this ski area offers over 100 kilometres of slopes linked up to form the Carosello Ski Folgaria network, from the fearsome black slopes to the easier blues slopes, perfect for beginners. Here you’ll also find plenty of ski schools with qualified ski instructors, ready to accompany you on your new adventure.
This ski area is located just a stone’s throw from the small town of Bolbeno, in the Giudicarie valley, and is perfect for first time skiers. Indeed, along the Costa slope, the local ski school “Sci Club Bolbeno” organises a range of courses, including grass skiing for beginners.
This ski area is located between Rovereto and Lake Garda, in the Monte Baldo Natural Park, and boasts over 50 skiing experts, between national instructors and federal trainers, with its Monte Baldo Ski School. The perfect place to start!
In the Valsugana, nestled in the Lagorai range and overlooking the Tesino highlands, you’ll find this ski area. Perfect for families or for those who wish to learn in complete safety. All you need to do is enroll in any of the courses offered by the Lagorai Ski School.
