The ski areas of Trentino perfect for beginners, to start off in complete safety.

Have you only recently started skiing and are looking for the right slopes to practise?

Then you’ll need a ski area with gentle slopes, not too steep, where you can take your first steps on your skis. The ideal would be to find a green or blue slope, wide and not too crowded, so you can easily get accustomed to using your skis and ski-poles. Better still would be to be accompanied by a ski instructor who’ll be able to guide you on this new adventure in compete safety.

 Monte Bondone Ski Area

It is the easiest ski area to reach if you visit Trento and want to learn to ski. Wide, safe, never-too-crowded slopes, 3 treadmills for beginners before tackling the Montesel ski ring: a ring of 3 blue slopes of progressive difficulty to try your hand at the first descents, even under the guidance of expert instructors.

Lavarone Ski Area – Alpe Cimbra

Just 40km from Trento, this ski area offers a total of over 22km of blue pistes, ideal for first time skiers. Woodlands, meadows and cosy mountain lodges surround the many wide gentle ski slopes, particularly suited to beginners. Furthermore, the ski instructors of the Scuola Italiana Sci e Snowboard Lavarone are more than happy to accompany novice skiers in this new experience.

Ski Centre Latemar - Alpe di Pampeago

Found in the heart of the Latemar Dolomites, this ski area, with its 49 kilometres of pistes, is the largest ski area in the Val di Fiemme, with numerous slopes for skiers of all levels. We recommend you reach the pistes from Pampeago, where you’ll find ski camps, blue slopes for beginners and, of course, the ski instructors of the Scuola di Sci Pampeago ready to lend a helping hand.

Bolbeno Ski Centre

This ski area is located just a stone’s throw from the small town of Bolbeno, in the Giudicarie valley, and is perfect for first time skiers. Indeed, along the Costa slope, the local ski school “Sci Club Bolbeno” organises a range of courses, including grass skiing for beginners.

Ski Area Polsa-San Valentino

This ski area is located between Rovereto and Lake Garda, in the Monte Baldo Natural Park, and boasts over 50 skiing experts, between national instructors and federal trainers, with its Monte Baldo Ski School. The perfect place to start!

Passo Brocon-Marande Ski Area

In the Valsugana, nestled in the Lagorai range and overlooking the Tesino highlands, you’ll find this ski area. Perfect for families or for those who wish to learn in complete safety. All you need to do is enroll in any of the courses offered by the Lagorai Ski School.
