Forests, clearings, and cozy wooden lodges where skiers can take a break provide the backdrop for the descents: from the Tablat slope and the beginner areas of the Sonek slope, you can venture onto the red Ust run, leading to the Malga Laghetto area and from there reach the panoramic summit of Monte Cucco. From here, you can descend along the fascinating black run Avéz del Prinzep, named after what was once the tallest spruce tree in Europe, located near the trail – a true natural monument unfortunately felled by a storm.
A four-seater chairlift takes you back up to higher altitudes, allowing for a descent to Passo Vezzena, an area of alpine pastures and mountain huts with breathtaking views stretching into nearby Veneto. Also from the summit of Monte Cucco, you can ski down to Malga Rivetta, served by a ski lift and known as a venue for both national and international ski competitions.
The Ski Center Lavarone also includes several blue runs like “Le Stock”, “Vezzena”, “Torrion”, “Le Cogole” and “Fratelle”, which expand the skiable area and make it ideal even for less experienced skiers.
In Lavarone Bertoldi and Passo Vezzena, there are four beginner areas equipped with magic carpets, perfect for children and those taking their first steps on skis.
The Lavarone Ski School, with its more than 50 instructors, will guide you into the magical world of skiing and snowboarding.
A great option is to purchase the "Alpe Cimbra" skipass, which gives skiers access to an all-around snow holiday, with the chance to ski across both the Lavarone and Folgaria-Fiorentini ski areas, for a total of 104 km of slopes.
