Val di Non
Downhill slopes, cross-country skiing and fun for the entire family in Val di Non
There are three skiing areas in Val di Non to entertain whoever loves Alpine skiing or cross-country skiing, and also whoever loves ski-mountaineering or snowshoe excursions.
Other than the classic Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing, Val di Non also offers lots of other occasions to try new experiences, like an excursion with a horse-drawn sleigh or snowshoeing excursions, a popular activity in Val di Non. You can also skate at the Palaghiaccio (Ice Stadium) in Fondo or in the ice rink in Coredo, both of which are also open in the evenings.
The skiing area offers slopes for Alpine skiing at Passo della Mendola on Monte Roen, locality Campi di Golf, in Ruffrè-Mendola on Monte Nock and atop the Predaia plateau, in Ciasazze (wherever you go there will always be snow thanks to the artificially induced snow systems). In Ruffrè you can also try your hand at nighttime skiing on the lighted slopes. In the ski areas in Val di Non you can benefit from the family skipass Skifamily.
Following the highway that leads to Passo della Mendola, you will be able to practise Nordic skiing in the Regole di Malosco cross country centre in Sarnonico, where slopes unwind across woods and glades in 10km round circuits at an average altitude of 1,350m, and in Predaia.
Suited for the family are the Predaia Park and the Funny Park Nevelandia in Roen (Passo della Mendola), where you can learn to ski in a fairy-tale village, with sledging and tubing slopes. There are loads of ski mountaineering trails in a stunning natural setting, particularly in the “Maddalene” area.
Don’t miss the classic Ciaspolada, the highlight event of the Epiphany in Val di Non.
