Palio della Sloiza

The Palio della Sloiza is a competition among the eight villages of Primiero, recreating one of the traditional agricultural activities of the past: the use of the “sloiza” as a means of transport.
Teams will put their strength and skills to the test: carrying a "load of hay" through the village streets, “mowing the borel,” ringing cowbells... After the various trials, the challenge ends in Piazza San Marco with the final task: “hammering wood with the mallet.”

- Thursday, August 21
From 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM: DJ Set with Dino UAU
7:00 PM: opening of the food stand, followed by a music evening
10:00 PM: live concert with Rotti x Caso – 883 & Max Pezzali tribute band
- Friday, August 22
7:00 PM: opening of the food stand
From 9:00 PM: folk music evening with the Siver Musich Group
- Saturday, August 23
7:00 PM: opening of the food stand
From 9:00 PM: folk music night with the Dolomiten Bier Band
9:30 PM: parade by the Corpo Folkloristico Musicale di Primiero
10:00 PM: 28th Palio della Sloiza, a team competition between the villages of the valley, featuring skill-based challenges through the town streets
Transacqua, Piazza San Marco (in case of bad weather, Saturday’s events will be rescheduled to Sunday)
