Mondo Contadino

Rurality-related event: farmers' market, typical lunch and children's workshops will be the highlights of the day.

PROGRAMME:

10.00am:

• Opening of the Villaggio Mostra Mercato Mondo Contadino (Farmers' Market Village) with stalls selling typical products and crafts.
• Collage - The art of reuse! An old magazine and recycled materials. Add a little colour and a pinch of imagination. We will create a work of art by mixing painting, reuse and collage to give new life to fragments of paper.
• Trekking urbano in Valle del Chiese.

From 10.00am to 1.00pm: fifth edition of the Valle del Chiese Formai da Mót Festival, featuring mountain cheeses and traditional flavours with tastings organised by the mountain dairies of the Valle del Chiese. “Vote for your favourite Formai da Mót” competition: 7 mountain dairies, 7 different types of cheese.

10.30am: Demonstration by the Trentino Provincial Mountain Rescue Dog Unit
The Trentino Mountain and Cave Rescue Dog Unit represents an irreplaceable partnership: man and dog, united by a unique bond, are able to successfully carry out complex rescue operations involving the search for missing persons or those caught in avalanches. Trained from puppyhood to treat searching as a game, the dog becomes not only a working partner but a true companion for life, capable of making a difference in a rescue operation thanks to its sense of smell and rapport with its handler.

From 12 noon: traditional lunch with local, zero-kilometre products: polenta carbonera, mountain cheese, cabbage, traditional peasant dessert prepared by the Pro Loco of Roncone (1st round). For a fee €12.00, reservations are welcome. Sign up here.

4.30pm: The art of pairing: Trentino wines and mountain cheeses compared.
A journey through the flavours of the region to discover Trentino's finest products. A guided experience during which participants will learn the basics of wine and cheese pairing, tasting local wines and selected mountain cheeses. An engaging encounter to understand how the right combinations can enhance aromas and flavours, with practical advice to take away and use in everyday life. Free activity, booking required. 5.00pm: “Mostra Bovina” lottery draw. Win €900.00 (first prize) in Trentino products from the Trento Provincial Breeders' Federation and many other great prizes.

5.30pm: Bubbles, notes and Formai da Mót: awards ceremony and closing toast with the mountain dairies participating in the 5th edition of the Formai da Mót Festival.

6.00pm: closing of the Mondo Contadino exhibition and market village.
