An unforgettable evening of classical music with two internationally acclaimed artists: Giovanni Gnocchi, among the most prominent cellists of his generation, and Alessandro Stella, an elegant and expressive pianist known for his refined interpretations and artistic versatility.
After his debut alongside Yo-Yo Ma, Giovanni Gnocchi has performed as a soloist under the baton of renowned conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Christopher Hogwood, and Alexander Lonquich. He has appeared on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Wiener Konzerthaus, Beethoven-Fest Bonn, and Smetana Hall in Prague. As a soloist, he has played with the Mantua Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, and Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco, performing major concertos by Prokofiev, Beethoven, Shostakovich, and Elgar. Since 2013, he has served as University Professor at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
Alessandro Stella has performed at top international festivals, from the Martha Argerich Project in Lugano to the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, with appearances at venues such as the Herkulessaal in Munich, Salle Rameau in Lyon, and Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires. In 2020, he founded the record label Extended Place and, since 2023, has been a member of the Recording Academy and the Latin Recording Academy. Many composers, including Carlo Boccadoro, Nicola Campogrande, and Giya Kancheli, have dedicated works to him. He regularly collaborates with artists such as Gemma Bertagnolli, Marcos Madrigal, and Nurit Stark, and is a founding member of the piano trio The Pianos Trio.
