PROGRAMM:
12.00 p.m. start of the concert with Mario Brunello and Quartetto Prometeo near Rifugio Brentei.
Mario Brunello, the Italian cellist who has always been a friend of I Suoni delle Dolomiti, for which he is also the artistic director, founder and conductor of the Italian String Orchestra, professor at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and academician of Santa Cecilia, will bring his experience with music that is truly boundless, performed on stages all over the world with the most prestigious conductors, such as Abbado, Muti, Mehta, but also with singer-songwriters such as Capossela, exploring paths and languages, tracing new paths. Brunello will be accompanied by the Quartetto Prometeo, an ensemble with over thirty years of activity and a very long series of awards, collaborations, recordings for the Ecm, Sony and Brilliant labels, composed of Nurit Stark (first violin), Aldo Campagnari (second violin), Danusha Waskiewicz, (viola), Francesco Dillon (Cello). In turn, the audience will be guided to discover and - on 14 September - also listen to a masterpiece of chamber music, Franz Schubert's Quintet Op. 163.
HOW TO GET THERE:
from Madonna di Campiglio by paid shuttle bus or by car at the times when it is permitted (mobilita.campigliodolomiti.it) to Vallesinella from where you continue on foot via path no. 317 and then no. 318.
3 hours' walk, 755 m difference in altitude, difficulty E, 5, 6 km.
from Passo Campo Carlo Magno with the opening of the Grostè cable car (car park nearby) to the 2nd section (Rifugio Stoppani) and then on foot via trail no. 316 to Rifugio Tuckett, trail no. 328 to Sella del Fridolin and finally trail no. 318 to Rifugio Brentei.
For the return trip, we recommend returning to Vallesinella via trail no. 318 and then no. 317. From Vallesinella it is possible to return to Passo Campo Carlo Magno with the paid shuttle service (mobilita.campigliodolomiti.it)
3 ½ hours walk, 340 m difference in altitude, difficulty E, 8.1 km.
EXCURSION WITH GUIDES:
€ 15.00 per person (under 8 years free of charge). 20% discount for Trentino Guest Card and Territory Card holders. Reservation compulsory, by 12.00 noon on the day before the excursion. Limited places available.
