Alpine horns concert
The Voice of the Dolomites: the Alphornbläser Deutschnofen trio, musicians from Val d'Ega, perform in an atmospheric Alpine horn concert
For centuries, the powerful echo of the Alpine horn has resounded through the mountains, uniting distant shepherds and villages in the valley with its deep, melodious call. This ancient instrument, skilfully carved from hollow wood, is capable of evoking soundscapes of extraordinary beauty, conveying a natural harmony that touches the soul and instils joy, peace and serenity. At 9.15 p.m. in the small square in front of the tourist office, Karl Stuppner, Stefan Pfeifer and Felix Pfeifer, three master players from the nearby Val d'Ega (Nova Ponente), beyond the Carezza Pass, will perform a concert celebrating this unique instrument. Their performance is a perfect blend of traditional pieces and modern interpretations, transporting the audience on a timeless musical journey.
Free admission. In case of bad weather at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
