Passo Coe ascent - Great Trentino climbs
Nice climb for those who are not afraid to tackle an elevation gain of more than 1,400 meters along the road (SS350) from Calliano (Val Lagarina) up to the Folgaria Plateau, to the 1,618 meters of the Coe Pass, a former mountain stage of the Giro d'Italia.
From an altitude of 187 meters in Calliano, in the Adige Valley, to 1614 meters at Passo Coe, on the Folgaria Alp, is quite a climb, considered one of the "Great Trentino climbs"!
However, for true lovers of uphill biking the elevation gain does not scare, stimulated also by the fact that Passo Coe was a mountain stage of the Giro d'Italia in 2002, a stage won by a Russian athlete, Pavel Tonkov. So it's an all uphill course along the beautiful Rio Cavallo Valley and the Folgaria landscape, before arriving at Passo dei Campioni. At the finish, Osteria Coe and Ristorante La Stua will reward your effort with some typical Trentino specialties!
