Moena - Passo San Pellegrino - Passo Valles - Predazzo - Moena
Warm-up route that, starting from Moena, quickly tackles the San Pellegrino and Valles passes. It retraces in summer version the Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino ski tour, with suggestive views of the Pale di San Martino, Lake Paneveggio, and the village of Bellamonte.
From Moena begins the first climb that allows you to reach the panoramic area of the village with a spectacular view of Catinaccio and Sassolungo. At the junction, turn right and continue on state road no. 346 (S.S. 346). You cycle easily leaving on the left the valley station of the Lusia lifts in Ronchi locality (4.5 km). You continue alternating short stretches with steep gradients (from 10% to 14%) with long straight sections (only 4 hairpin bends), passing through the localities Fango and Alochet. In total, there are 13 kilometers to climb Passo San Pellegrino, several times a passage or finish stage of the Giro d'Italia (2003 with the victory of Gilberto Simoni and 2006 with the Spaniard Juan Manuel Gàrate). Passed on the right the valley station of the Col Margherita cable car, begins the fast 6 km descent to the junction for Passo Valles. The ascent resumes, following provincial road no. 281 (S.P. 281), which in 7 km climbs the Dolomite pass with important and constant gradients that give relief only in the final stretch (average 8.6%, maximum 16.1%). You face the fast and technical descent with slopes varying from 15% to 3%, once arrived at the locality of Paneveggio, whose natural park is known for the "violin forests". Traveling on state road no. 50 (S.S. 50) you reach the village of Bellamonte and then Predazzo. You return to Moena via state road no. 48 (S.S. 48).
