Moena - Passo San Pellegrino - Rifugio Fuciade - Moena

This route allows you to reach the wonderful basin of Fuciade by mountain bike, traveling through the entire San Pellegrino valley.

From Moena square, follow the main road towards Soraga. After about 50 m, at the junction turn right and take Strada de Someda which, with a marked slope, leads to the homonymous hamlet. At the junction keep right and, along Strada de Sèn Roch, soon leave the built-up area. Pass by the Austrian fort from the First World War and continue on the asphalt road, alternating short stretches of moderate slope with flat sections. From above, follow the course of the Rif de Sèn Pelegrin until you reach, in the locality of Ronchi (I Ronc), the valley station of the Lusia cable car and from here, with a steep but short climb, the bridge over the San Pellegrino stream. Cross the state road to take on the right the forest road ("Le Tenebre") running parallel to the stream. The route presents long flat or slightly uphill stretches interrupted at regular intervals by three rather steep ramps that do not exceed 200/250 meters in length. The Vaia storm of 2018 swept away a large portion of the forest, making the path more open and sunny. Pass the locality of Fango and continue towards Passo San Pellegrino. At Malga Negritella, keep right, climb the dirt road towards the huts of Ciamp de l'Ors and resume pedaling following the well-trodden track. You emerge near the pass and join the state road. After climbing to the pass, descend about 200 m on the other side and at a track overpass turn left onto the road leading to the parking lot near Hotel Miralago, from where you take the dirt road, mostly flat, leading to the Fuciade basin. For the return, shortly after Rifugio Fuciade, at the junction, descend left along the steep path that, passing in front of Malga Boer, emerges on the San Pellegrino state road. Climb back to the pass and then face the long descent towards Moena.
