Canazei - Mortic - Pecol - Canazei

<p>The route, from the historic center of Canazei, follows the dirt road of "Mortic" (winter ski slope) which climbs the bottom of the valley crossed by the Ruf (stream) of Antermont.</p>

<p>From Piaz G. Marconi, head towards the little church of San Floriano, in the historic center of Canazei. Climb Strèda dò Ruf de Antermont passing next to the old sawmill and crossing left over the bridge on the rio Antermont. The dirt road (winter ski slope; trail no. 655) climbs the bottom of the valley with slopes that gradually ease. The valley offers a super panoramic view of the imposing Sella group with Piz Ciavazes on the left and Sass Pordoi on the right. At the fork, leave trail no. 655 and continue to the right, soon reaching the state road near the 8th hairpin bend. Carefully continue uphill for about 300 m on the carriageway. At the 9th hairpin, take right the dirt road which becomes steep in some sections. At the summit, continue for another couple of kilometers until you meet a trail in the forest on the right with the indication for Canazei. From here begins the descent on dirt with some technical passages that will bring you to Alba. Follow Strèda dò Veisc first, then Strèda de Parèda to return to the starting point.</p>
