Canazei - Alba - Penìa

<p>Easy tour that, flanking Avisio’s orographic left and right, connects Canazei with the hamlets of Alba and Penìa.</p>

<p>From the square in Canazei, descend along "Strèda Roma". Cross the playground and the bridge on the left over "Antermont" stream, quickly reaching Dòlaondes Aquatic Centre’s parking. On your right, the boardwalk over Avisio allows you to reach the opposite bank of the river. Then, take the dirt road that, passing behind the building of the ski school, leads to the end of the village. Continue up to "Ciasates" area, nearby the Civil Defence headquarters. Cross the main road and take the paved road "Strèda dò Veisc" on the left, which follows the course of the stream. The track, mostly flat, alternates open spaces with well-shaded stretches. Past the playground, continue pedalling and reach in a few minutes the provincial road. Cross it close to Hotel Agomer (Penìa) and take the dirt road that flanks Hotel Villa Rosella. Cross the wooden bridge to reach the opposite bank of Avisio river. The route (trail sign no. 605) enters the woods, closely following the watercourse, and alternating short ramps with flat stretches. Climb up the valley until coming across Passo Fedaia’s provincial road, nearby "Pènt de Giaveisc" bridge. Reverse direction and follow downhill the paved road, then leave it after about 400 m. At the bend, turn right on "Strèda de Treve", leading you to the hamlet of Penìa. From the small square, move back downstream and join with "Strèda de Ciamp Trujan". Return now along the same route as outward.</p>
