845 - Toraro Ring
<p>Beautiful circular route, very scenic, that goes around Mount Toraro. It reaches the Valbona saddle and returns to Lake Coe. The views over the Veneto-Vicentine valleys are picture perfect!</p>
<p>At a certain point in this route it seems like the world ends, that beyond the horizon there is nothing left! Beyond the horizon, however, there are the Veneto-Vicentine valleys and in the background, far away, Asiago. It is an alternation of horizons and vastness, panoramas and glimpses between Trentino and Veneto, that makes us feel in an unusual and special place. And it really is special, a circular path around Mount Toraro, a border mountain, which witnessed the battles of the First World War and a radar outpost of the... Cold War. Chamois, roe deer, eagles, and hawks can be our unusual yet unexpected travel companions. A visit to Base Tuono near Lake Coe is recommended.</p>
