Parco Fluviale Novella
Novella River Park features an aided rock-climbing trail to help visitors discover hidden canyons, explore narrow passages and climb vertical walls.
The river park unfolds among the gorges of the River Novella in the municipalities of Cloz, Romallo and Dambel. The park features a 3.5 km guided-path equipped with footbridges, which is perfect for those who want to enjoy a stroll in the woods or discover hidden canyons, and also get to know the area's geological history. With the installation of the rock-climbing trail, visitors can now enjoy an array of majestic landscapes which were once less easily accessible.
Water plays a key role at the park. Land has been morphologically moulded by its erosive powers. Here, a characteristic river valley with its distinct V-shape, soon gives way to a spectacular gorge with narrow passages and vertical walls. Water has also helped shape both landscape and vegetation. Forests of Scots pines have colonised its sunniest and more arid slopes, before being replaced by the rock plants growing on the gorge's steep, wet walls.
