A mountain-hut bearing the same name and a striking waterfall are also located near the lake, making its landscape unique and much beloved by the hikers, who chose this corner of Trentino as their destination.
The lake can be reached climbing up the Val Cavelonte by taking any of the forest roads - all of which can be travelled for a brief distance. After Malga Toazzo, keep climbing the steep sides of Mandre di Muro until you reach the remains of the mountain-hut bearing the same name.
