Per Via - Museo Tesino delle Stampe e dell’Ambulantato
This museum tells us about the life of the Tesino print-sellers
Established in Pieve Tesino, the Museo PER VIA displays the vestiges of the itinerant print-selling business, which began in Tesino, and of the itinerant sellers, who, with their box of art prints, travelled the streets of the world, reaching the farthest corners of the globe, setting up shops and even becoming publishers.
The Museum, through documents of the time, prints and photographs, tells us of the heroic feats of this unique trade that flourished until the outbreak of the First World War. It preserves and displays the stories of men and the collective vicissitudes of the peddling trade, which strongly characterised life in this Alpine valley of Trentino for several centuries.
